I think that everybody was paying too much attention to their ipods and not to the people around them! The girl was trying to get someone to listen to her, but she was on her ipod too and also not paying much attention until the end!

I thought that the film maker was trying to say that people are paying too much attention to their ipods and didn’t care about what was going on around them and also the girl was listening to her ipod also until the end.

I thought that the film maker was showing us that people are paying more attention to their ipods then the other people around them.

The girl wanted to be noticed, but when I was watching the video that same girl who wanted attention had the ear buds in listening to music. When she smashed the ping pong bucket and the pool player didn’t notice that there were ping pong balls all over the pool table I thought that the point that the director was trying to make was he was so involved in the music and the pool game he was playing ALONE, but the guy that was playing ping pong ALONE did notice. When the girl and the ping pong player took out their ear buds, they noticed there were birds singing and they could actually interact with other people.

I think that the video shows that lots of people are listening to their music rather than talking to other people in person and not just ignoring them and walking away.

I think that the director made a very good point that people are paying more attention to their IPODS than other people!

I think this video shows that sometimes people are so distracted with their ipods that sometimes they don’t even notice other people.

I think that what the director was trying to say was that a lot of people are on their iPod, phone etc. and that one girl was looking around noticing that everyone was on their technology and that they didn’t even notice that everyone was around them. Then at the end of the film one of the guys finally noticed that everyone was around him and so then he put away his stuff to go do something.

I think they should have been looking towards them instead of their iPods. It’s better to lose your iPod than your life Right? That is my opinion of this very well-filmed video.

My opinion is that they should have pad more attention to others because in the video, the elderly people were separated and probably got lost by not paying attention

I think that the people were listening to their music too loud, and did not care what was going on around them. Jaime.

I think that the film director was trying to say that some people pay more attention to their electronics then they do to experience real life

Thanks Bill and students of Canada’s Coolest Class. I read the comments. I feel more than ever like the film was worth making. Your class really made me smile!

    DND in the Classroom

First off, thank you to everyone spreading around the film! We’re just a small indie, but we feel the love. Our YouTube channel has almost 2,000 hits in 2 days.

Second, I’d like to announce that Do Not Disconnect is now part of the education system. Canadian educator Bill Belsey has made the film part of his curriculum examining the changing nature of friendship in the face of technology.

Nice to see teachers expanding the boundaries of education and using unique concepts to teach our children. We’re all about individuality here at the DND Headquarters!

Please check out his website at http://www.thefutureoffriendship.org.

    This is just the beginning!

The person who made the video was trying to show that people sometimes pay more attention to their electronic devices rather than other people. I thought he did a good job on the video!!
